The Brief
Collectable tea gift boxes are popular for giving to friends and family during holidays, birthdays, and other special celebrations. During my research, I noticed that tea has become increasingly popular among both the young and old due to a growing interest in its health benefits, aesthetic appeal, and variety. Additionally, it has become clear that teatime is no longer fixed to a certain time or place, but a lifestyle that can be enjoyed anywhere, anytime. As a result, the market gap became apparent for tea gift box packaging that supports consumers on-the-move without compromising aesthetics. I decided to combine travel-friendly packaging that is functional and convenient, with the stylish and fun unboxing experience that draws customers in the first place.

Solution
The purpose of Tea-Venture’s packaging concept is to provide a solution for gift boxes that are awkward to carry, take up too much space, and are difficult to close. Many tea gift boxes are intended to create a fun unboxing experience but are only practical for single use despite the quality packaging material. It is often an effort to repack the contents due to multiple sections and lose pieces of packaging. What is more, many gift boxes are a challenge to close and do not offer proper resealing protection. Tea-Venture is an ideal choice for sustainability due to its limited waste production. Both the box and foil packets are recyclable, and the tea bags are compostable, as clearly indicated on the back of the box.
